Lattices of choice functions and consensus problems

Résumé. Ce papier montre que les ensembles ordonnés de fonctions de choix vérifiant chacun des trois axiomes importants de la théorie des fonctions de choix : axiomes d'hérédité (H), de concordance (C) et outcast (O), forment un treillis. Les propriétés obtenus ainsi que les résultats de la théorie latticielle du consensus permettent d'obtenir des résultats sur le problème d'agrégation de telles fonctions de choix.

Abstract. In this paper we show that the sets of choice functions satisfying each of the three important axioms, namely hereditary (H), concordance (C) and outcast (O) axioms, are lattices. We determine the properties of these lattices and then use these properties and those of the latticial theories of consensus to get results on the aggregation problem for such choice functions.
