La mafia comme expression endogène de l'accumulation du capital

Résumé. Cet article se propose de développer une grille de lecture susceptible d'appréhender la mafia comme une forme endogène de la dynamique du capitalisme. Dans cette démarche, cette contribution s'articule en deux parties. Dans la première partie, après avoir mis en évidence les obstacles épistémologiques qui semblent encore interdire à la théorie économique une analyse rigoureuse et conséquente de la forme socio-économique mafia, sont posés, à la suite de Marx et Braudel, les jalons d'une approche qui l'appréhende comme l'expression structurelle des méthodes de l'accumulation dite primitive du capital. Dans la deuxième partie, cette approche est étayée par l'énonciation de différentes thèses par lesquelles, en combinant théorie et histoire, est proposée une analyse de la continuité et des ruptures de la forme socio-économique mafia dans la dynamique longue du capitalisme italien.

Abstract. In this paper we aim at developing an analytical frame which will unable us to consider the mafia as an endogenous form of the dynamics of capitalism. In a first part, we underline the epistemological hurdles that still impede a rigorous and strong analysis by the economic theory of the mafia as a socio-economic form. Then, following Marx and Braudel, we prepare the ground for a new approach so as to consider the mafia as the structural expression of methods of capital accumulation that is said to be primitive. In a second part, this approach is supported by enunciating different thesis. Thanks to these thesis and by combining theory and history, we propose an analysis of both the continuity and breakings of the mafia as a socio-economic from in the long-run dynamic of the Italian capitalism.
