Cambridge contre Cambridge : une version segmentationniste

Résumé. L'essor des théories segmentationnistes a-t-il buté sur les profondes transformations de la structure du marché du travail au cours des années 1980 ? Afin d'envisager cette question nous avons conduit une analyse critique de la prise en compte des transformations de la structure du marché du travail sur la période 1970-2000. Traditionnellement très présentes sur ces questions nous nous intéressons aux théories d'inspiration institutionnaliste, dont deux branches sont distinguées. Leur éloignement géographique, l'une ayant pour foyer Cambridge, G.B., l'autre Cambridge E.U., sous-tend une divergence d'interprétation particulièrement intéressante.

Abstract. Has the development of segmentationists' theories been stopped by the deep changes in labour market structure during the 1980s ? As a mean to answer these questions we critically looked over interpretations of labour market segmentation's changes from the 1970s to the 1990s. Our analysis focused on institutionalist segmentationist theories as they were traditionally the most developed. We distinguished two strains, one grounded in Cambridge, U.K. the other in Cambridge U.S., which interpretation diverge in an interesting way.
