Existence of marginal pricing equilibria in economies with increasing returns and infinitely many
commodities
Abstract.
In this paper, we prove the existence of marginal pricing equilibria in economies with infinitely many
commodities and non-convex production sets. We consider the framework of Bewley (1972) and we use the notion
of Clarke's normal cone to define the marginal pricing rule. The main difficulty comes from the fact that,
contrary to the finite dimensional case, we need an additional assumption on the continuity of the pricing
rule. This assumption holds true when the production set are convex and we exhibit a class of production sets
which satisfy it in a model with a countable number of periods.
